It’s celebration time for local charity PTSD Dogs Australia, who are set to celebrate their fourth birthday in style with a special fundraising event on Friday 17 June, dubbed High Tea for the Hounds.

PTSD Dogs Australia, are a local not-for-profit organisation that rescue ‘death row’ dogs from pounds and shelters, and train them to become loyal and supportive assistance dogs for veterans and first responders with PTSD.

The fun morning tea will help raise much-needed funds, to help the charity carry out the vital work that they do rescuing dogs, who rescue veterans and first responders.

The demand for these dogs is as astounding, as it is tragic.

The organisations does not receive any government funding and relies solely on sponsorships, grants, donations and corporate partnerships, and is run almost entirely by a team of more than 20 volunteers.

Receiving an assistance dog can be utterly life-changing and in some cases, even lifesaving.

Their assistance dogs are provided at no cost to their handlers, plus they provide lifetime support to each PTSD assistance dog and their handler.

Gather your friends, come along and have some fun, meet a few new furry friends, and help save two lives in the process.

Enjoy a lavish morning tea with refreshments, entertainment, special guests and fabulous raffle prizes and lucky door prizes up for grabs, whilst at the same time raising funds for PTSD Dogs Australia.

Tickets are $55 per person. Price includes a sumptuous high tea and a glass of bubbles on arrival.

Tickets can be purchased online now at: events.humanitix.com/high-tea-for-the-hounds
