PTSD Dogs Australia, a leading provider of GHAD-certified assistance dogs for individuals with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), is thrilled to announce its relocation to a larger property in Cooroibah, Noosa Shire.

Founder Angie Weeks, winner of the 2023 Prime Minister’s National Veterans Employment Awards and PTSD Dogs Australia State Qld Finalist for the Telstra Best of Business Awards 2024, is excited to invite the community to celebrate a significant milestone.

To mark this occasion, PTSD Dogs Australia is hosting a Community Open Day on November 30, from 10 AM to 3 PM at 380 McKinnon Drive, Cooroibah.

The event offers a unique opportunity to meet some of the PTSD Assistance Dogs currently in training, as well as those already paired with their handlers. It’s a family-friendly celebration, with fun activities for both the furry and non-furry members of the family! Attendees will have the chance to learn basic dog training techniques, understand what motivates dogs, and discover how to teach them to stay focused amidst distractions like birds, other dogs, and people.

In addition to the educational experiences, the day will feature a performance by the Woombye Light Horse Brigade, a sausage sizzle, a jumping castle, and face painting for the kids. PTSD Dogs Australia invites everyone to join them in celebrating this exciting new chapter, promising a fun and educational day for all.

PTSD Dogs Australia’s mission is to rescue shelter dogs and train them to become assistance dogs, helping improve the quality of life and independence of Veterans and First Responders living with PTSD.
