Queensland Police dog Kaos is back patrolling the streets of Brisbane after a stabbing last month that almost cost him his life.

The 7-year-old German Shepherd was injured on duty on February 2.

He suffered a 12-centimetre stab wound while taking down two suspects at Gordon Park in Brisbane.

But after extensive surgery Kaos has made a full recovery.

In video posted by Queensland Police today the heroic doggo is seen leaping over fences and sniffing for evidence.

He’s also seen putting his night vision to good use, helping to catch more criminals in the act this week.

The men responsible for Kaos’s injuries were charged with serious animal cruelty, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and assaulting and obstructing police.
